Kapumpe Chola is the Chief Executive Officer of FNB Zambia, making history as the first woman to hold this position. Her appointment reflects a distinguished career in banking and leadership across the African continent.
Before assuming her current role, Kapumpe served as Country Director for Rand Merchant Bank Botswana and Head of Corporate and Investment Banking at FNB Zambia. She also worked for Standard Chartered Bank and Barclays Bank Zambia before joining the FirstRand Group. Her professional journey spans multiple countries in Africa and the United Kingdom, where she has led diverse teams and driven strategic initiatives in commercial & investment banking and business transformation.
Kapumpe is deeply committed to the Shared Prosperity philosophy and firmly believes Financial Institutions have the capacity to unlock the potential of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) for national development. Her vision is anchored in supporting the country’s critical growth sectors, including mining, energy, and agriculture, through innovative and inclusive financial solutions that deliver sustainable, long‑term value for clients and communities.
She holds a Master of Business Administration in Financial Studies from Nottingham University Business School (UK), a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Public Administration from the University of Zambia, and a Treasury Dealing Certificate from ACI – The Financial Markets Association (UK). She also completed the Leadership in the Digital Age: AI & Financial Inclusion Executive Program at INSEAD Business School, Singapore.
